The Time Has Come
For those of you who have not been contacted, I'm sorry that this is the way that you will find out. I made sure I was not the first to blog (Roberta beat me to it). Grandpa has passed away. Today while I was working out, I was reading his translation of Galatians. Tonight I read it differently. Roberta has a picture of her last visit to Grandpa, check out that site.

Ah. He is home. I always felt blessed by your grandpa and grandma. I have to agree with Amber, he was more that great uncle to me too. I thought a poem would be fitting so I wrote one on my blog. We will see you soon to celebrate his life, and to laugh and cry together.
My heart and love go out to you Eric and all the other cousins/aunts/uncles. I do know that over the last years, especially since Aunt Lavine's passing, Uncle Cecil seemed to have one foot and an eye cocked to heaven-- like he couldn't wait, although he graced us for a little while longer. My life has been so blessed by having known him.
He will always be in our hearts and souls but he now can enjoy the rest of the season of Joy and all the other seasons in Heaven with Christ. I will miss him greatly.
Our sympathies go out to you on the loss of your grandpa. From the first time that I remember Uncle Cecil, when I was about 5 years old, I was always entralled by his stories and his joy of life.
We will all miss him
