Another Late Night
Well at least this time I had an excuse for being up late. My younger son was plugged up and could not stay asleep. We gave him some medicine, but it did not take effect right away so until after 2:00 am he was half awake and so was I.
He seems to be doing better this morning, he is up much earlier than I expected. He did say his ear is not working right now, but it does not hurt.
Next week I begin preaching again. My passage is one of the simple straightforward kind - John 11 - Lazarus is resurrected from the dead.
There are many resurrection stories throughout the Bible, Old Testament and New. Jesus raises a couple different people from the dead. What is special about this one? Resurrection is not an everyday occurance, but what was special about this that John wanted to have it in such close proximity to the resurrection of Jesus? Some ideas I need to figure out.
